The author was diagnosed with MS in 2009, some two years after experiencing a first obviously physical neurological symptom (foot drop). In 2015 the course of the disease became progressive, despite access to several disease modifying drugs, including the latest oral therapies. This website is built around these experiences and with hindsight, how the author would have approached things differently. It is a site that is intended to promote the patient perspective in MS. The author is based in Australia and content may therefore reflect Australian (and New South Wales experiences in particular) which may be very different to circumstances in the places where visitors to this site may reside.
